ROAD LESS TRAVELED

I read part of this poem in a novel I was reading and although its a little melancholy, I kind of liked it (lets face it , from time to time I can be a little melancholy). I actually thought of having a tattoo of the last three lines but it seems to me that script tattoos can be hard to get right. My friend's husband had a very detailed script tattoo in Chinese writing. I might wait until I'm next in the UK and go to the guy he goes too.


ROAD LESS TRAVELED

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth


Then took the other as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black


Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet, knowing how way leads onto way
I doubted if I should ever come back
I shall be telling this with a sigh


Somewhere ages and ages hence

Since I've been here my "El que habla dos idiomas vale dos" tattoo idea is looking less and less appealing... Now I'm thinking maybe something nice and mayan instead... or maybe nothing! (shocking!) It's just that I see so many tourists with stupid tattoos these days that it makes me afraid of being the same.
